WHAT IS THE FUTURE OF LED LIGHTS?

In 2023, China, as the biggest base of LED manufacturing in the world, the export quantity was higher, meanwhile the export quota became lower, which priced in US dollars (especially for #Europe and #US, – 1.9% and -6.6%, respectively). It means a dreadful fact that the more quantity of LED lamps were exported, the less unit price was. The more awful is that the falling rate of unit price is faster than the growth rate of export quantity. On the customer side, we can hear about complaints such as, ‘Why are almost all lamps similar?’. In this case, it is so weird that a lose-lose situation for both manufacturers and customers has been formed.
What is the reason for this? I quite believe that nobody has been talking about this elephant in the room. The core factor is that the mainstream technology cannot satisfy customers’ demands. For example, nowadays we enter the smart home era. And this requires a lot of wireless communication, which poses a great challenge to the electromagnetic interference characteristics of the devices in the system. However, LED lights on the market now cannot meet this requirement. 99.99% LED lights emit relatively strong electromagnetic radiation which can remarkably interfere with the other devices in smart home systems. And even those lights cannot pass through the spot-check of EMC, which make distributors or agents very confuse.
